Activities & Services For Members

The Club Provides:
Information: Reassurance and guidance to new owners. We also recommend purchase of the "HV Handbook"
Newsletter: Members receive “Russet Rumours” a bi-monthly containing information about club activities and news about Vizslas.
Fun Days: Are held regularly for owners and their dogs to get together and socialise.
Training Days: Are offered to members wanting to learn show handling, retrieving, obedience, agility, etc.
Club Events: Championship Show, Open Show & Obedience Trial and Endurance Test conducted annually.
Point Score Trophies: Are offered for each discipline.
Versatile Vizsla Award: For Vizslas that have gained titles in at least three different recognized disciplines and are owned by HVCV members.
Breed Information Stand: Vizslas on display at Pet and Animal Expo each year.
Rescue Service: The club’s rescue service cares for Vizslas, lost or needing a new home, until the appropriate new owner is available.  For a variety of reasons, Vizslas sometimes require new homes, so older Vizslas are available occasionally through our Rescue service.  Some prospective owners may prefer an older dog to a young puppy.
Web Site: For member access to news, activities, articles, merchandise and general items of interest. The website has recently been revamped and updated.
